Selected MRI images show effusion of the left sacroiliac joint associated with extensive periarticular bone marrow edema, soft tissue edematous changes seen as low T1, high T2/PD signal in surrounding muscles, and multiple fluid collections located in the thickness of gluteus maximus, piriformis, erector spinae, and iliac muscles.
